AK Yoga Health
Arran Knight Pilates is please to introduce AK Yoga Health - a collaboration with experienced senior Yoga teacher and longtime best friend David Michel.
We have observed few places that offer Yoga students advice about injuries or strength deficits in a way that fits in with their Yoga practice and philosophy. We aim to offer high quality Yoga classes with the option to rehabilitate and strengthen in a Pilates Studio with a parallel exercise philosophy - that bodies need strength, flexibility and release strategies as well as awareness and a developmental approach for optimum health.
These classes will run at the following times:
Tuesday mornings with David at 9:30 - 10:30am
Wednesday evenings with Fiona at 7:15 - 8:15pm (beginners) / 8:15 - 9:15pm (intermediate)
Offering an exceptional level of teaching, David will offer Yin and Yang Yoga - A perfect balance of energy and relaxation. The Yang elements of each practice combine breath, movement and repetition (strengthening, dynamic and invigorating). The Yin elements of each practice compose of long, soft, deep stretches which take us into our joints and connective tissue (passive, relaxed, soothing).
Whether you are new to Yoga or a more experienced practitioner, you are sure to come away from David's class feeling inspired.

Fiona Harding Biography
Fiona started teaching 15 years ago after completing her teacher training with Simon Low, which is recognised by Yoga Alliance and The British Wheel of Yoga. Her teaching style is inspired by TKV Desicachar, BKS Iyengar and Vanda Scaravelli.
Fiona’s classes focus on a moving meditation with dynamic postures, allowing the body to feel energised yet relaxed, the mind alert while still, with awareness on the breath being calm yet fluid. Her classes allow the body, mind and breath to become one through the practice of pranayama, asana, meditation and relaxation.
Fiona likes to incorporate a sense of playfulness into her classes. She develops a flow of sequences whilst also focusing on being mindful of the body’s alignment in the varied postures postures.
Come along and enjoy movement and stretching in the body whilst being firm in holding asanas. A lovely way to strengthening mind, body and soul!
*Fiona has also trained in rehabilitation Pilates methods with Arran Knight Pilates Studio and can offer 1:1 sessions to support your Yoga practise.
