Our range of experience has been drawn from working rehabilititavely in private medical clinics, through devising a Pilates curriculum for professional Ballet training and from working in professinal Dance and Sport. Attention to the specific function of each individual body and ability level we work with enables us to offer the option of safe and sustainable exercise. We believe this is the route to optimum health as it delivers manageable and enjoyable exercise promoting a healthy approach to your physical well being. 

The value of emotional and mental health alongside our physical well being is now well established. Where once people wouldn’t openly talk about it they now do. Many see an important and vital connection. My work in Pilates is complimented by my counselling work - helping people maintain their emotional and mental health.

Founder and Director

Arran opened his studio in Wapping in January 2015. He divides his time between there and his freelance Pilates work with the Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden and the premiership football club West Ham United.

Greg Doyle

Pilates Instructor

Greg works with both equipment and mat work Pilates. His distinct style of teaching the group classes here at AKP studio has been the most popular offering since the classes began 7 years ago.

When looking at human movement potential, Greg takes inspiration from the intricacies of musicianship, dance, dramatic exploration, and his favourite sports, cricket and football.

Gwen Berwick
Pilates Instructor

Gwen is a Body Control Pilates matwork teacher & a Polestar Pilates Comprehensive trained teacher from New Zealand, based in London.

During her 29-year dance career, Pilates has not only supported and challenged her body but has also rehabilitated it from injury. Her love of movement, and a keen interest in the anatomy behind movement, has been her driving force in pursuing a Pilates career.

In her classes she uses the knowledge and experience from her dance life as well as from her Pilates training to inform and enhance her Pilates teaching, adding her own creative touch to all of her classes.

She will help you work towards building deep strength, control, improved alignment, enhanced mobility, flexibility and finding flowing movement.

Gwen enjoys teaching people from all backgrounds and helping them to find their true movement potential. Not just those who use their body for dance or sport, but those who want to live an active healthy life regardless of their age and profession.

David Johnson
Pilates Instructor

David has been pursuing fitness and health for over 4 decades and through the practice of Pilates (since 2002) he has been able to continue his enjoyment of it with a never ending journey of new discoveries.

David has been teaching Pilates since 2004 and enjoys every day that he teaches, making a difference to other peoples live's.

He lives and works in London. He has run a Pilates Studio in New Delhi, India, and continues to teach at numerous studios across London, including Pure Sports Medicine.
